Businessmap Card Creator is a browser extension that helps users create Businessmap / Kanbanize cards from selected content on web pages.
Data we collect or process
The extension may process the following data when the user explicitly uses it:
- selected text from the current web page;
- the current page URL;
- page title or contextual page information needed to create a card;
- an optional screenshot, only when the user chooses to include it;
- Businessmap configuration data, such as subdomain, workspace, board, workflow, column and swimlane;
- the user’s Businessmap API token, provided by the user to connect the extension to their Businessmap account.
The extension does not collect browsing history, does not monitor websites in the background, and does not collect data unless the user starts the card creation workflow.
How we use data
The data is used only to provide the extension’s single purpose: creating a Businessmap / Kanbanize card from content selected by the user.
Specifically, the extension uses the selected text, page URL and optional screenshot to pre-fill and create a card in the Businessmap account selected by the user.
Configuration data is stored to avoid asking the user to re-enter the same settings every time.
Data storage
The extension stores configuration data locally in the browser using Chrome extension storage.
This may include the Businessmap API token and the last-used workspace, board, workflow, column or swimlane.
We do not operate a separate backend service for collecting, storing or analyzing this extension data.
Data sharing
The extension sends data only to the Businessmap / Kanbanize API endpoint configured by the user, for the purpose of creating the requested card.
We do not sell user data.
We do not share user data with advertisers.
We do not use user data for analytics, profiling, creditworthiness, advertising or unrelated purposes.
Limited Use disclosure
The use of data by Businessmap Card Creator complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
User data is used only to provide or improve the extension’s user-facing card creation functionality. User data is not transferred to third parties except as necessary to provide the extension’s core functionality, namely sending the card content to the user’s selected Businessmap / Kanbanize account.
Permissions
The extension requests browser permissions only to support its core functionality:
activeTab: to access the active tab after the user invokes the extension;scripting: to read the user’s selected text and page context from the active page;storage: to save extension settings and Businessmap configuration locally;contextMenus: to let the user start card creation from the right-click menu.
Data deletion
Users can delete locally stored extension data by removing the extension from Chrome or clearing the extension’s saved settings.
Users can also revoke or replace their Businessmap API token from their Businessmap account settings.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be published on this page with an updated effective date.
